Spirou Basket Charleroi topped Basket Bree 88-70 in Game 2 of the Belgian League Finals on Thursday night to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series. Jonathan Tabu scored 17 to lead five Charleroi players in double figures. The hosts outscored Bree by at least 3 points in every period win the game running away. Charleroi used a 14-3 run bridging the first and second periods to take a double-digit lead and Bree would never get closer than 4 after that. Matt Walsh and Jerry Johnson scored 14 points apiece, Len Matela added 12 and Tremmell Darden 10 for the winners. Doron Perkins led Bree with 21 points and 6 steals and Dor Fished posted 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks in defeat. Spirou will try to close out the series in Game 3 at Bree on Saturday.
