Bosnia and Herzegovina League Semifinals, Game 1: May 31, 2008

Bosna ASA BH Telecom and Igokea Partizan picked up big wins in the opening legs of the Bosnia and Herzegovina League Semifinals Saturday. Bosna bested Sloboda Dita 82-65, while Igokea beat Siroki Prima Pivo 81-65. Bosna took control early, outscoring Sloboda 24-15 in the opening period, grew the lead to 12 at halftime and 20 after three periods to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series. Goran Ikonic paced Bosna with 16 points, Dzenan Rahimic and Lance Williams added 14 points apiece and Edin Bavcic had 12 for the winners. Milan Milosevic posted 27 points and 9 rebounds for Sloboda in defeat. Meanwhile Igokea essentially wrapped up its win in the first period by blasting defending champion Siroki 30-10 in the opening period. Milijan Bocka and Slavko Stefanovic scored 19 and 17 points, respectively, for Igokea. Game 2 of both series is set for next Saturday.
