 Union Olimpija is once again the Slovenian League champion! Olimpija clinched its 14th Slovenian League title by downing defending champion Helios Domzale 3-1 in the best-of-five final playoff series. On Saturday, Olimpija thrashed Helios 60-84 in Game 4 in Domzale to stay as the team to beat in its country. Goran Dragic and Marko Milic paced the winners each with 20 points. Hasan Rizvic added 18 while former Helios shooter Sasa Doncic had 17 for Olimpija. Milic grabbed 9 rebounds while Doncic pulled down 8 boards. Aljaz Janza had 22 points for Helios while Aleksej Laskevic added 12. It was a balanced game in the early going, as Janza and a three-pointer by Dario Krejic allowed Helios to get a 22-21 edge after 10 minutes. Olimpija improved its defense in the second quarter, as Milic and Doncic fueled a 0-17 run that Hasan Rizvic capped with a dunk to break the game open, 24-40. Olimpija kept a 28-43 margin at halftime while an outstanding Milic boosted the guests' lead to 37-59 late in the third quarter. Helios did not recover, as all Olimpija fans had time to celebrate that their team claimed back the Slovenian League crown!
