THE TAKE

Second place in Group E is up for grabs as KK Buducnost hosts Swans Gmunden. Head coach Dejan Radonjic's Buducnost will clinch the second spot with a victory or a loss by up to 7 points. But of course the Montenegrin side wants to grab a victory and return to its winning ways with the elimination round coming. Buducnost dropped to 6-3 with a surprise loss at Hapoel Galil Elyon - Radonjic's first loss against a team other than Group E leader Triumph Lyubertsy. Buducnost allowed Galil Elyon to shoot 60% from the floor and hit just 45% itself, while getting out-rebounded 30-24. Shooting guard Nemanja Gordic collected 20 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists while power foward Vladimir Dasic had 16 points, 3 rebounds and 5 steals. Small forwards Vladimir Micov and Marko Popovic both chipped in with 10 points in the losing effort. Radonjic hopes his team can repeat its shooting performance from its Week 5 win at Gmunden, where Buducnost shot a blistering 60% from the field. Swans Gmunden comes into the game after beating Antwerp Giants at home to improve to 5-4 and book its spot in the elimination round. Head coach Bon Gonnen's Austrian team shot 53% from the field while forcing Antwerp into 19 turnovers. Guard Deteri Mayes collected 32 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists while small forward Ian Boylan and center Matthias Mayer both had 13 points and power forward Kevin Johnson chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Gonnen's side has already accomplished its main objective in reaching the elimination round. Now his troops just hope to finish Group E action with a strong victory.

Head Coaches

RADONJIC, DEJAN
KK Buducnost
"I am satisfied with our second place in Group E and the whole elimination round results. So I want to congratulate all my players on their efforts built in that result. It was obviously seen before the game that we spent a lot of energy during very hard schedule in January with long trips. But from the beginning we dominated with our strong defense and deserve this victory."
GONNEN, ROBERT
Swans Gmunden
"Buducnost is a better team, their players are taller and stronger than ours and they were smarter tonight. They played excellent and deserve this victory. Their defense was great and it is key of their success."
MAYES, DETERI
Swans Gmunden
"Buducnost deserved this victory. For our team the most important thing is that we passed in to the next round and we are very happy about that. But we couldn't be happy with this game and result tonight. I have to thank the ULEB that allowed to our small club to play in this Cup with great teams like our host has been tonight."
