Hanzevast Capitals welcome Galatasaray Cafe Crown searching for their first victory in Group C. Josep Claros's Dutch side was overpowered in the fourth quarter of its loss last week at CSU Asesoft. Hanzevast made 48% of their three-point attempts and all 11 of their foul shots. But the Capitals hit just 35% from inside the arc with Alton Mason and Niels Meijer combining for just 7-of-20. Galatasaray surprised many by knocking off Spanish side Akasvayu Girona on Dee Brown's late basket in Istanbul. Murat Ozyer's Turks travel to Holland now looking for a repeat performance. Another fine game by Mehmet Ersoz (18 points) would help.

Galatasaray Cafe Crown stayed unbeaten in its ULEB Cup debut season as it blasted the Hanzevast Capitals on the road by 60-93 on Tuesday. The win lifts Galatasaray to a 2-0 record in Group C as the only unbeaten team in the group while the Capitals drop to 0-2. The first quarter ended with a 27-27 tie but when Charles Gaines and Dee Brown woke up, the guests rolled on their way to victory. Robert Hite led the way for the winners with 23 points, Dee Brown added 19, Charles Gaines 18 behind 8 of 11 two-pointers, Chris Owens had a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds, Murat Kaya netted 11 and Huseyin Besok posted 10. Kevin Melson was the best man for the hosts with 15 points, Guido Grunheid added 13 and Alton Mason had 11.

Five points by Guido Grunheis launched the Hanzevast Capitals to an early 10-5 lead, but Dee Brown and Robert Hite managed to stop th ebleeding and maintain Galatasaray Cafe Crown in the game. The Capitals managed to build a slim margin with a 22-16 but the guests came back at 23-23 with seven straight points by Brown, and the tie remained at the end of the first quarter, 27-27. Charles Gaines and Grunheid were the names at the start of the second period, and when Huseyin Besok joined the party Galatasaray was up by double digits, 30-41. Robert Hite maintained the cushion for Galatasaray as Kevin Melson was a one-man army for the Capitals, and that wasn't enough as the board showed a 33-45 at the break. It was a Galatasaray party in the third quarter as an 8-21 partial score in the third period led by Hite, Brown and Gaines killed the Hanzevast Capitals who saw how after 30 minutes the score was 41-66. But the bleeding didn't stop there as the last quarter started with a 0-9 Galatasaray run with 5 points by Gaines and the guests never looked back again as they stole the show in the last period with a 20-27 partial score again.
