Partizan mt:s reached the Euroleague Basketball Nike International Junior Classification Tournament Belgrade-JCT semifinals
by downing Brose Baskets 78-61 at Basket Land on Saturday. Partizan finished Group B with a 2-1 record. It joined Hemofarm
and INSEP in a three-way tie for first place. Partizan was first (1-1, +13), Hemofarm second (1-1, -3) and INSEP third (1-1,
-10). Brose finished the group stage with a 0-3 record and will not fight for fifth place. Nikola Majic led the winners with
14 points. Ognjen Jaramaz added 11 while Nikola Radicevic, Nikola Jovanovic and Mihajlo Andric each had 10 for Partizan. Lucas Wagner led Brose with 16 points. Tim Leonhardt added 12 while Terry Thomas had 10.
Brose went scoreless in the opening 3 minutes and a 9-0 run that Radicevic capped with a layup gave Partizan the lead for good. A dunk-and-foul by Jovanovic soon allowed Partizan to make it a double-digit game, 14-2. Three-pointers by Andric and Majic boosted Partizan's lead to 27-9 after 10 minutes. A three-point play by Thomas got Brose a bit closer, 30-17, but Partizan regrouped on defense and a jumper by Mladen Djordjevic broke the game open, 44-23, late in the first half. A triple by Majic fixed the halftime score at 51-28. Nothing changed after the break, as even when Brose kept fighting, Partizan kept a safe lead from that moment until the final buzzer.
