Crvena Zvezda continued its run in the 10th Nike International Junior Tournament with a 74-53 victory over Anadolu Efes Istanbul on Friday afternoon at Abdi Ipekci in Istanbul, Turkey. With this win Zvezda climbed to 2-0 record while Efes dropped to 0-2 in Group A. Dusan Ristic continued to shine with 18 points and 14 rebounds, Nikola Rebic added 15 with 7 assists and Brano Djukanovic added 14 for the winners. Tayfun Erulku topped the scoresheet of Efes with 17 points, Guney Gul added 12 and Kemal Canbolat had 11. Efes enjoyed a good start, just like Day 1, and held a 13-20 lead after 10 minutes yet the second quarter delivered the same news. Zvezda stepped up its defense and limited Efes for 10 points in each of the next two quarters, while Ristic took over the game under the rims. The teams entered the closing quarter with Zveada up by 16 and when Rebic connected five points in a row the difference extended beyond the 20 point line and Zvezda cruised for a win.
