INSEP bounced back from its semifinals close loss with an 87-75 victory over Partizan Belgrade in the bronze medal game at the NIJT Belgrade on Sunday morning. Partizan dropped to the 4th spot in the final standings suffering its second loss in a row after dropping the semifinals against Crvena Zvezda last night. William Howard hit 19 points, Hugo Invernizzi added 16 and Livio Jean-Charles contributed 14 for the winners, while Partizan saw big guy Dusan Bogdanovic make 21 points, Aleksandar Djordjevic added 16 and Nikola Majic had 16 as well. INSEP used a 10-0 run late in the first quarter to take a 26-14 lead after 9 minutes. Howard added a three pointer to push the gap to 14 after 14 minutes, but Partizan used points by Djordjevic to stay not too far behind at the break, 45-35. Howard and Ulysse Adjagba scored the first 6 points after the break and when Jean-Charles dunked it turned into an 18 point game, 60-42. Bogdanovic collected points around the rim and Majic assisted as well to make it just a 9 point gap late in the third quarter, but Invernizzi and Howard were accurate enough to keep Partizan behind to keep a safe distance and lock the win.
