Beovuk 72 will play the game for the overall fifth place after having defeated USK Future Stars Prague 78-83 on Saturday. Marko Babic was the heart and soul of Beovuk with his 32 points and 7 rebonds, including a whooping 16 of 20 free throws. Nikola Socanac and Nikola Budic helped him with 16 points apiece. For USK, Martin Kriz had 26 points and 13 rebounds, Tomas Kyzlink posted 20, Lukas Festr had 11 and Daniel Truhlar 10. A 2-6 at the end of the first period already allowed Beovuk to lead by 17-24 after 10 minutes. After two minutes with no points in the second period, USK managed to react a little and trimmed the deficit down to 34-38 at the break. It was all to be decided in the last quarter. Beovuk started with an advantage of five points, but a three by Vit Petrak finally put USK ahead, 70-69. However Beovuk reacted fast and Babic put them ahead for good with his three-point play, 72-73. After that, Beovuk defended its lead but USK never surrendered. However, free throws by Babic again sealed the fate of the game.
