The Take

It will be a special game for Luka Zoric, who played for Unicaja in the past. Zoric is one of the many options head coach Zeljko Obradovic has around the baskets, including physical forward Jan Vesely, big men Oguz Savas and Semih Erden, as well as the versatile Nemanja Bjelica, who can help at both forwards positions. Savas and Erden face a physical test against Vladimir Golubovic and Fran Vazquez, in one of the biggest keys to this game. Unicaja relies on Will Thomas and Caleb Green to make the difference at power forward. Bjelica and Emir Preldzic can change any game with their ball-handling skills, size and high basketball IQ but Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Carlos Suarez are also dangerous small forwards ready to play strong defense against them. Ryan Toolson and Kostas Vasileadis will provide the fireworks from downtown against Fenerbahce's elite shooters Andrew Goudelock and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Nikos Zisis and Kenan Sipahi will see all the playing time at point guard if Ricky Hickman remains sidelined. Playmaker Jayson Granger and a recovered Stefan Markovic should be ready for the challenge.

Caleb Green has recorded at least 1 steal in each of the last five Euroleague games.

Quotes Head Coaches

PLAZA, JOAN
Unicaja Malaga
"It's obvious that we are happy about the overall performance of the team, but we cannot deny that our start to the Top 16 has not been good. Against Fenerbahce we have to bear in mind that they have more options to make the Playoffs or even the Final Four, but we don't. We have to face the game this way. They have more lives, we don't. WE must win no matter what. We are practicing really well, everybody's focused and knows that we want to reach the seven wins we need in the Top 16. That's the mentality."
OBRADOVIC, ZELJKO
Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul
"We play against Unicaja, a team that is leading the Spanish League and we must think about that. They are a very good team even though they are winless in the Top 16. They play well and we must prepare ourselves for a very difficult game."

Players

VASILEIADIS, KOSTAS
Unicaja Malaga
"We face this game as if it was a final. If we win, we can think about the next games that we will have to win. We have lost game that we could have won like against Anadolu Efes or we also played a good game against Olympiacos and we competed against Milan. So now it is really paramount to win a game. Playing against such a great team as Fenerbahce doesn't scare us, but motivates us. They are more offensive than defensive."
