Looking for its first victory in Group A, Siauliai welcomes visiting KK Bosna of Bosnia-Herzegovina to Lithuania. After losing at home two weeks ago against current group co-leader Turk Telekom, Siauliai struggled with outside shooting while falling at Alba Berlin in Week 2. Small forward Mantas Ruikis missed all six of his triple attempts off the bench, part of a lackluster 5-of-22 (23%) team effort from beyond the arc. Power forward Antonio Grant has been solid in both games, but playmaker Gediminas Maceina tallied just five points after hitting for 15 against Turk Telekom. Which Maceina shows up could decide the Lithuanians' fate against Bosna. The Bosnians hope to improve to 2-1 after also losing to Turk Telekom. Head coach Zure Zdovc's Bosna played well against the Turks but allowed them to shoot 60% from the field. Bosna will not beat Siauliai if their defense does not improve in the post. The leader of the Bosna offense has been center Lance Williams, who has averaged 23 points and 8 rebounds. Donatas Zavackas and Antonio Grant each added 18 points and Mantas Ruikis chipped in 11 - including five free throws in the final minute. The Lithuanians improved to 1-2 in Group A and next week host Guildford Heat. The Bosnian team Bosna dropped to 1-2 in the group despite 17 points from Kyle Hill. Lance Williams and Edin Bavcic each scored 12 points and Quemont Greer and Bryan Bailey both hit for 11. Bosnia only trailed by two points with just more than a minute left but Ruikis stole the ball from Greer and then made his foul shots down the stretch. The Bosnians host DKV Joventut next week. Williams opened the scoring and his three-point play gave Bosna an 0-7 lead early. Grant answered with seven points in a 9-0 run and a 9-7 lead for the Lithuanians. Grant picked up back-to-back fouls, fouling out with six minutes left. Bailey made two foul shots for a 72-74 advantage, to which Zavackas answered with a three-pointer. And two Zavackas free throws made it 77-74 with just more than two minutes left. Bavcic hit just one of two foul shots for a 77-75 deficit before Zavackas came up big again with a three-pointer.
