With this win Joventut is tied with Real Madrid at the top of the standings in Group A with a 1-0 record while Rytas fell to 0-1 sharing the third spot with CB L'Hospitalet. Later on today Joventut will face Real in hope to remain perfect while Rytas will seek its first win against the hosting team. Sergi Hernandez led the winners with 18 points and nine rebounds while Albert Homs finished with 14. Jokubas Gintvainis had 14 for Rytas and Denis Krestinin finished with 13. Rytas was in charge for most of the game and held the lead for 38 minutes, reaching a maximum of a 13 points gap midway in the third quarter. Yet Joventut had the final say. With a 12-4 run led by Homs and Hernandez the score was tied at 63-63 with a little over two minutes to play. Rytas took the lead for the last time with a single made free throw but saw Gerard Gomila hit a pair in the closing seconds to give Joventut its first lead in the game in the most perfect timing.
