"I want to be very clear. I take the bigger part of the responsibility for this horrible night. I believe that I was not able to explain with the correct words to my players what game this would be. I did not touch the right buttons and we simply were not ready to play. Still I have also to say that Bayern played an amazing game: one week ago we were all happy, and now we are all frustrated. The point is what we can get from this game. It is not the last game of the season. I fully understand the frustration of the people that came to the game. The frustration of the crowd is our frustration. I believe myself and also my players feel ashamed. But I believe I would make a very big mistake if I go into the locker room and kill all my players. Bayern played unbelievably hard, tough. They pushed us, held us, beat us. We were not ready to respond. At the beginning we were sloppy – this is our biggest mistake - we were superficial, and I was not good enough to explain to them what kind of game it would be. Then, at 11-0, our game was over. Because then suddenly we understood what kind of game it would be. And we thought: what to do? And the game was over. We had two options, not 25. We have all seen the reigning German champion showing us what is the way to play. And we learn or we will always be followers. It is not a shame, they are a good team. But still I believe we have a chance when we use this night in the right way, stick together and don't point the finger. Then we can improve."

"Coaches are always the same: we do not celebrate too much when we win and we do not cry when we lose. It may sound a bit arrogant, but we learned a bit from the last game. One should not overestimate the win today nor our loss to Bamberg in the German League ten days ago. The difference is not so big between Bamberg and Bayern. Everything went well for us today, and Bamberg did not play on the same level as in the last games. We did not only dominate in the final result but also in the whole game."
