First place in Group D could be decided by this encounter between Round 1 winners. Olympiacos returns home after a strong game by its perimeter weapons, who were aided by the defensive toughness of the big guys. Laboral goes on the road after shooting great in its home opener. The game will be a test for one of the league’s best young point guards, Thomas Heurtel, who will, face former MVP Vassilis Spanoulis as well as Kostas Sloukas, Vangelos Mantzaris and Oliver Lafayette. Heurtel is joined by Fernando San Emeterio and former Olympiacos player Doron Perkins in the Labroal backcourt. Swingman Matt Lojeski could play a big role for the hosts, too. The visitors have lots of weapons at forward, including sharpshooter Davis Bertans, Toko Shengelia and Ryan Gomes, though a clear hierarchy has not yet been established. Othello Hunter and Bryant Dunston anchor Olympiacos inside, where they’ll confront Colton Iverson and DJ White. Both teams have confidence, depth and the great talent necessary to deliver an exciting game.
