Zalgiris Kaunas marched on its third game of the stage group against USK Future Stars Prague and took an easy 63-93 win to finish the group stage undefeated. With a 3-0 record, Zalgiris rolls into the final to be played Sunday. On the other hand, USK finishes winless with a 0-3 record in Group A. Tomas Dimsa was the best player for the winners with his 20 points, Simonas Januskis added 13 and Marius Girgonis posted 12. For USK, Lukas Festr led the way with 15 points, Jan Krivanek added 12, Prokop Slanina 11 and Vladimir Nemcok 10.
The game was an easy deal for Zalgiris because after 10 minutes the score was already 14-26. With a 0 of 8 from the arc, USK was struggling in offense while on the other side Zalgiris was using great accuracy from the paint to increase the lead to 26-56 come halftime. In the second half the game was broken open, but Zalgiris even managed to increase the lead a little more in the third quarter. In the final period, the hosts relaxed and USK used it to cut the deficit a little, but it was a long way from trying the comeback. Zalgiris 29 of 40 from the field and its 20 assists, as opposed to USKs 21 turnovers (6 of them by Festr) were just proof of what happened on court: total domination by Zalgiris.
