The young squad featuring eight players under age 21, start with Group E at home against Triumph Lyubertsy. Triumph, formerly Dynamo Moscow Region, certainly have put together a top-notch team, starting with coach Stanislav Eremin, who won the 2004 FIBA Europe League with Unics Kazan. Terrell Lyday - Triumph LyubertsyTriumph Lyubertsy of Russia made its ULEB Cup debut with a resounding 66-75 road victory in Group E against Buducnost in Podgorica, Montenegro on Tuesday . Although it was Triumph's debut, it relied on a trio experienced in ULEB competitions to prevai. Terrel Lyday scored 15 pointsand pulled 6 rebounds to pace the winners, while Mire Chatman added 14 points and 4 assists. Big man Ognjen Askrabic contributed 14 points, too, and grabbed 7 rebounds and made 3 assists, while Uros Slokar had 11 rebounds for Triumph. Vladimir Micov was led Buducnost with 15 points and was joined in double digits by Zarko Rakocevic, who scored 12. The guests from Moscow decided game in first 5 minutes of second half, when they increased a six-point lead to 19 thanks to a 4- 14 run.

Triumph used early domination in the paint with Askrabic and Slokar to establish the inside game. That tandem of centers combined fior 10 points in game's first 4 inutes, good for a 7-10 lead for their team. Buducnost answered with a 9-2 run in the next 3 minutes to go ahead 16-12. Popovic nailed 2 triples while Gordic upped the advantage to 19- 14 with his team's fourth blast from the arc en route to a 21- 19 lead after one quarter. Vladimir Micov - BuducnostSergey Toporov's second triple took back a 21- 22 advantage for the guests to start the second quarter, but Gordic and Micov put Buducnost back in front, 29- 24, from the perimeter. Buducnost seemed to be holding steady at 31-26, but then Triumph made a game-changing 0-14 run behind three-pointers from Fedor Dmitriev to lead 35- 41 at haltime. Another big run of 2-12 to start the second half put Triumph in charge for good. Lyday had 8 of those points and with his experience helped control the scoreboard for awhile, until a scoring slump let Micov's 8 consecutive points for Buducnost trim the difference to 51- 63 after 30 minutes. Buducnost then made an 8-2 run over the first 6 minutes of the final quarter to put pressure on Triumph by pulling as close as 59- 65. On the other side, Triumph went almost 5 minutes without scoring due to missed free throws and other open shouts. Chatman finally put things right for the visitors iwth 4 points and steals in the 38th minute that restored a 10-point lead. Lyday's third triple in the next-to-last minute killed all of Buducnost's hopes for a happy ending in front of its fans.

RADONJIC, DEJAN
KK Buducnost
"We entered in the game well thanks to the implementation of our style of game. Until the half of the second period we controlled the game. Then our frontline made a lot of mistakes and allowed the very strong opponent to take the lead. In the open minutes of the second half we suffered the same like on the end of the first and Triumph achieved a great lead. We did our best at the end of the game. But when we thought it was finished my players missed some open shouts and our chances for a great surprise. I’d like to congratulate Triumph for their great victory."
EREMIN, STANISLAV
Triumph Lyubertsy
"We had enough information about Buducnost and prepared very seriously for this game. I would like to say that team has very young players but on the other side they didn't have more experience. That was the key of our victory. We are more experienced and Lyday, Chatman and Askrabic decided the game. Our start was not good. We made a lot of mistakes in help and recoveries and they scored many three-points shots. But with good defense and triples from Terrell and Chatman at the beginning of the second half we decided game."

"Our rival was one of the best teams in the ULEB Cup and we knew it before the game. But we started well until the series of mistakes in the first half. They punished us for that. In the last period we tried to catch them. When we had to make a break we made so many mistakes, again. So Triumphs' victory is well deserved."
ASKRABIC, OGNJEN
Triumph Lyubertsy
"We knew all the qualities of Buducnost. They have a young and talented team with players that proved value in younger categories. So we had to prove that we are experienced and more expensive team on the court. Until the half of the second period we tried to find our game. In the locker room we made a deal to play stronger in defense to stop their pick-and-roll and we did it. In the last period we thought that the game was over. Buducnost almost punished our attitude but with some triples we climbed to ten and scored the victory."
