Playoff D: Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar 3-2 FC Barcelona Lassa

Chris Singleton saved his best for a big moment and come through when it matters as Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar knocked out FC Barcelona Lassa 81-67 to claim a spot at the 2016 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Berlin. Singleton posted his first Euroleague double-double to lift Lokomotiv to a 3-2 win in the best-of-five playoffs series. Not only that, the big man did much off his damage late; he scored the go-ahead basket on the second of back-to-back three-pointers early in the fourth quarter and strung together 11 unanswered points before assisting on a Matt Janning triple that capped a 14-0 run from which Barcelona never recovered. The Lokomotiv defense held the visitors to just 5 fourth-quarter points in pulling away for the historic win. The momentum had been in Barcelona’s favor after it erased an 11-point halftime deficit and led by 5 early in the fourth, but struggled the rest of the way. Malcolm Delaney tallied 17 points on 3-of-3 three-point shooting plus 6 assists as the team made 13 of 25 triples (52%). And Singleton posted 16 points and 12 rebounds. Stratos Perperoglou paced the Barcelona attack with 13 points and Juan Carlos Navarro added 12.
