Top 16, Round 2

The Top 16 began shaping up as a wild one with Group F featuring four teams tied at 1-1 after two games, including Benetton, which beat Barcelona on the road in a rematch of last season’s title game. CSKA improved to 2-0 in Group D as Mirsad Turkcan set a then-Top 16 rebounding record with 21. Ed Cota and Arvydas Sabonis led Zalgiris over Maccabi and to first place in Group G.
