WHAT'S NEW
An already star-studded roster picked up a few more shiny pieces in veteran scorer Keith Langford and the Euroleague’s all-time leader in three-pointers made, Gianluca Basile. Armani also added depth at point guard with Rok Stipcevic, as well as a great deal of muscle and defense to the frontline with athletic big man Richard Hendrix and a blue-collar forward David Chiotti.

THE BACKCOURT
Langford is accustomed to being the go-to-guy from the teams he previously played for and thus should be a nice compliment to a veteran floor general Omar Cook, last season’s Euroleague assists leader. Swingman Malik Hairston, Armani’s top scorer last season, and Langford should mutually benefit from one another. There is great depth on the perimeter too between the invaluable experience of three-point machine Basile and the youth, quickness and size of Alessandro Gentile. Those two will combine with Langford and Hairston to make for an elite scoring quartet on the wings. Armani has multiple playmaking options too with Jacopo Giachetti and Stipcevic, who excels in pick-and-roll situations.

THE FRONTCOURT
Armani’s inside game revolves around former All-Euroleague center Ioannis Bourousis and three-time Euroleague champ Antonis Fotsis, who together make for an ideal inside-outside and top rebounding duo. A great rebounder and shot-blocker, Hendrix will make his presence felt in the paint alongside either of the aforementioned stars. Tough rookie Chiotti will be tested early, but has never backed away from a challenge. After showing glimpses of great potential, Nicolo Melli looks to take another step forward as a prime contributor at both ends.

OUTLOOK
Milano brought in players that have a tendency to get to the free throw line, which was needed after ranking last in free throws attempted in the Top 16 last season. Those additions should not only result in more easy points, but also give the three-point happy offense much needed counterbalance. Along with the added size and muscle in the paint, Coach Scariolo’s team looks balanced and ready to reach high.

Ioannis Bourousis - EA7 Emporio Armani
PLAYER TO WATCH: Ioannis Bourousis
With his vast Euroleague experience, the big man is poised to help change the fortunes of this club and carry it past the Euroleague Top 16 for the first time in recent history. Bourousis's mobility and ability to dominate inside or knock down timely jumpers is always a bonus for his teams. Now, with more firepower on the wings and Hendrix alongside him inside, is the time for Bourousis to rise up and help lead Milano on a march towards Euroleague glory.
