Olympiacos officially releases Dorsey
Josey Dorsey - Olympiacos - EB 12-13Turkish Airlines Euroleague champions Olympiacos Piraeus has officially released center Joey Dorsey prior to Thursday's road game against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, ending their relationship two weeks after he criticized the organization and stopped playing with the team. Dorsey arrived to Olympiacos before last season's Top 16 and helped the Reds to win the Euroleague and the Greek League titles for the first time since 1997. Olympiacos already found his replacement in Josh Powell, who inked a deal with the Reds earlier on this week and was registered for Euroleague duty earlier Wednesday. Dorsey averaged 3.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 3 Euroleague games this season. "I want to thank Olympiacos, my teammates and my coaches for my experience in Greece the last 10 months. We achieved some amazing things, that I will always treasure. I realize that my behavior was wrong and speaking and acting like I did was something I deeply regret and I honestly want to apologize personally to every single member of the team," Dorsey said in a farewell statement. "I want to wish everybody in the club the best of luck for the rest of the season."
