Bremer leaves Fenerbahce, joins Milano
EA7 Emporio Armani Milano has announced the arrival of combo guard J.R. Bremer, who inked a deal for the remainder of the season on Tuesday. Bremer (1.87 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Fenerbahce Ulker, where he averaged 1.4 points and 1.4 assists on 9 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games this season. Bremer already played for Milan last season, averaging 10.7 points on 42.1% three-point shooting plus 2.3 assists in 3 Euroleague games. He went on to average 8.4 points and 2.4 assists per game in the Italian League in helping Milan reach the finals. Last season marked Bremer’s second Euroleague run, though he has vast experience playing for top teams in Europe. He first played in the Euroleague for Unicaja Malaga in the 2004-05 season. He also helped Unicaja claim the Spanish King’s Cup that season. He has since suited up for Biella in Italy, PAOK in Greece, Bosna AHT BHT in Bosnia and Spartak Primorie Vladivostok, BC Triumph, Krasnye Krylia and Nizhniy Novgorod in Russia. He helped Krasnye Krylia reach the FIBA Eurochallenge title game in 2010. Bremer had previously played two seasons in the NBA with Boston, Cleveland and Golden State.
