Final Four players poll: Greeks abroad (1)
How would you feel as a Greek player abroad if your team were to win its playoff and you could go home to play a Final Four in your country's capital, Athens?
Theodoros Papaloukas, CSKA Moscow:
"It would be very important, both for those of us playing abroad and also for the Greek guys on Greek teams at home. For me, I can say it would be something very special. I have been to four Final Fours in a row, and I know that to make it to a fifth one will be hard. But it would be great to have it in my own town, and to play in front of family and friends. It would also mean my team has a chance to repeat as champion, and I like that idea, too."
Michail Kakiouzis, Winterthur FC Barcelona:
"It would be gret feeling. I miss my country, so whenever I have a chance to go back to my home in Athens, I feel very happy. If we could go gack to play in the Final Four and have a chance to take the cup, that would be the best trip home I could have."
Antonis Fotsis, Dynamo Moscow:
"We will have the chance to feel some of it already, playing against Panathinaikos in the playoffs. So if we get through that, of course, I would love to play a Final Four at home in Athens. Every game there is special so you can imagine what a Final Four would be like."
Kostas Vasiliadis, Unicaja:
"First we have three big games against Barcelona and that's a difficult challenge. But I hope we can win first, and then I will think about going home. To play in a Final Four for the first time, and to do so in my country would be amazing. It would be perfect for the first time."
Lazaros Papadopoulos, Dynamo Moscow:
"I would feel very good, first, to reach the Final Four. Also to see my old teammates from the national team who could be there, too. And just to come to Greece is always something nice for me, so to do it for a Final Four would be even better."
