Ricky Hickman came through when needed most on Thursday night to lead Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv to its first win of the Top 16 and in doing so he also claimed Top 16, Game 3 bwin MVP honors. He missed only 4 shots, went 9 for 9 from the free throw stripe, added 5 rebounds and 5 assists, committed just 1 turnover and drew 9 fouls in amassing a performance index rating of 34, which was the best among all players on winning teams during the week’s eight games. Nachbar made 6 of 7 three-pointers as part of a 36 index. One of the men that matched up with Nachbar, CSKA forward Viktor Khryapa, is next on the list after he produced 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 steals en route to an index rating of 32. Rounding out the list of the week’s elite are Shawn James from Maccabi and Tomas Ress of Montepaschi Siena. James recorded 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting for a 31 index.
