Greek star Sarbel to perform at Final Four
Greek Cypriot pop star Sarbel will headline the entertainment portion of the Euroleague Basketball Final Four's opening ceremonies on May 4. One of the hottest musicians in Greece, Sarbel, released his third album on the Sony BMG label earlier this year and will represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest with his hit single "Yassou Maria."
The English-born Sarbel, 25, trained classically in London before reconnecting with his paternal roots during his late teens and early 20s. Sarbel released his first album in 2004, which shot up the charts in Greece, Cyprus and the Middle East. Numerous duets with some of Greece's top female singers have seen his popularity grow and he has since toured around the world.
The Euroleague Basketball Final Four will take place at the Athens Olympic Indoor Hall (OAKA) from May 4 to 6.
