The names of the eight referees who will work the 2007 Final Four in Athens have been announced by the Euroleague. The full list of referees includes: Nikos Pitsilkas (Greece), Luigi Lamonica (Italy), Tolga Sahin (Italy), Ilija Belosevic (Serbia), Sasa Pukl (Slovenia), Juan Carlos Mitjana (Spain), Eddie Viator (France) and Boris Ryzhyk (Ukraine). Belosevic and Sahin are returning from last year, while Viator, Pukl and Ryzhyk will be working their first Final Fours. By assigning newcomers to the Final Four officiating crew, the Euroleague aims both to diversify the pool of referees with experience in Europe's top basketball event and reward professional competency. The Final Four is to be held from Friday, May 4 to Sunday, May 6 at the Athens Olympic Indoor Hall (OAKA) in the Greek capital and features four teams: CSKA Moscow, Panathinaikos, Tau Ceramica and Unicaja. In addition, the following referees will officiate the Euroleague Basketball Nike International Junior Tournament: Recep Ankarali (Turkey), Milan Brziak (Slovak Republic), Spiros Gondas (Greece), Sinisa Herceg (Croatia), Lars Klaar (Sweden), Oscar Lefwerth (Sweden), Dragan Medan (Croatia), Sergey Mikhaylov (Russia), Tasos Piloidis (Greece), Zdravko Rutesic (Montenegro), Ivan Zachara (Czech Republic), Jakub Zamojski (Poland),
Nikos Zavlanos
(Greece),
Stelios Koukoulekidis
(Greece) and
Costas Mouzakis
(Greece). The Euroleague Basketball Nike International Junior Tournament is to be held from Friday, May 4 to Sunday, May 6, also at OAKA, and features eight junior teams: Cibona, CSKA Moscow, Montepaschi Siena, Prokom Trefl Sopot, BC FMP, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Olympiacos and Zalgiris Kaunas.
