On Thursday Vladimir Dragicevic had his best game of the season, making history both from an individual and team perspective. Dragicevic starred at both ends of the floor in leading Polish champion Stelmet Zielona Gora to its first ever Euroleague road win and his effort resulted in bwin MVP honors for Regular Season Round 6. Zielona Gora defeated Bayern Munich 71-78 as Dragicevic collected 19 points, while shooting 7 of 11 for two points, and grabbed 11 rebounds. He also had 2 steals, 2 blocks, 1 assist and drew 6 fouls in amassing a performance index rating of 32, which was the best of the week, establishing him as one of the breakout performers of the season. In the second place for Round 6 was James Gist of Panathinaikos Athens with an index rating of 29. In an 80-72 comeback victory over Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius, Gist scored 24 points, with 6 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 blocks. Next on the list of the top individual performances with index rating of 28 was Shawn James of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv. The center piled up 16 points, while shooting 8 of 9 from the floor, along with 6 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 assists and 2 steals in a losing effort against Laboral Kutxa Vitoria. Among the round’s best performances again was Pops Mensah-Bonsu of Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul. In a key 54-52 win over Montepaschi Siena, Mensah-Bonsu amassed 16 points plus career-high 16 rebounds, including 8 on offense, for an index rating of 26. Individual leaders: Pops Mensah-Bonsu of Galatasaray: 16 rebounds

Bogdan Bogdanovic of Partizan NIS Belgrade and Gist were Round 6 top scorers with 24 points apiece. Meanwhile, Bojan Bogdanovic of Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul remains as the competition’s leading scorer with 20.2 points per game. Mensah-Bonsu pulled down 16 boards and also leads the regular season in rebounds at 12.3 per game. Louis Campbell of Strasbourg and Marcus Williams of Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar had week-highs of 8 assists, leading their teams to respective home wins. Former Euroleague MVP Dimitris Diamantidis of Panathinaikos is the 2013-14 Euroleague assists leader at 7.7 per night. Gist recorded career-high 5 steals, more than anyone in Round 6. Charles Jenkins of Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade averages 2.5 steals per game, which is the best mark in the league. Shawn James of Maccabi Electra had 4 blocks, the best of all players this week.
