The Turkish Airlines Euroleague's tallest player – 2.21 meter center Boban Marjanovic of Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade - made his last game in the competition this season one to remember on Friday. In his team's 75-99 road win over Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius, Marjanovic claimed the bwin MVP title for Round 10. In less than 18 minutes on the floor, the center was simply unstoppable. He tallied 25 points on 11-of-13 for two-point shooting and was 3 of 4 from the free throw line. He also pulled down 11 rebounds, dished 3 assists, and blocked a shot, adding up to a performance index rating of 33. It was one of the best per-minute Euroleague performances ever, and Marjanovic’s career-high. The runner-up for the regular season finales was Real Madrid guard Sergio Rodriguez, who accumulated an index rating of 30 in Los Blancos’ 61-86 road win over Anadolu Efes Istanbul. Coming off the bench, Rodriguez scored 24 points in less than 24 minutes, shooting a perfect 6 of 6 from behind the arc, while adding 5 assists, 3 rebounds and a steal to his line. Sharing third place with index ratings of 27 were DaJuan Summers of Budivelnik Kiev and Justin Dentmon of Zalgiris Kaunas. Dentmon had career-high 26 points and 7 rebounds, along with 4 assists in an 80-84 road win at Brose Baskets Bamberg, while Summers collected 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 drawn fouls in a loss against FC Barcelona. Rounding out the Round 10 top five was Olympiacos Piraeus small forward Stratos Perperoglou. Bojan Bogdanovic finished the regular season as the Euroleague leaders with 18.1 points per game. Marjanovic and John Bryant of Bayern Munich had week-highs of 11 rebounds. Joffrey Lauvergne sits atop the Euroleague’s rebounding charts with 9.3 per night. Dimitirs Diamantidis dished out 9 assists in Round 10, the most among any player, and he improved his league-best assists mark to 7.3. per game. Dogus Balbay of Anadolu Efes and Antoine Diot of Strasbourg had 4 steals apiece. Balbay’s teammate Jamon Gordon averaged 2.1 steals per night to lead the league at the end of the regular season. There were 9 players with 2 blocks in Round 10. Shawn James top the Euroleague’s blocks table with 1.9 per game. Two players had double-doubles in the final week of the regular season: Marjanovic and Felipe Reyes of Real Madrid with 13 points plus 10 boards.
