A first-class head coach is set to return to the Euroleague next season, as Fenerbahce Ulker has officially announced that Bodgan Tanjevic has inked a three-year deal with the Turkish League champion. Tanjevic is currently coaching the Turkish national team to which he helped to finish sixth at the World Championships held in Japan last summer. His last experience as a Euroleague head coach came in the 2002-03 season with Virtus Bologna. He has also coached Adecco Asvel and Limoges in France, Caserta, Trieste and Milan in Italy, as well as Buducnost and Bosna Sarajevo in former Yugoslavia. He helped Bosna to win its only Euroleague title in 1979 and league titles in 1978 and 1980, as well as lifting domestic trophies with Asvel in 2002, Buducnost in 2001. Tanjevic has also coached the Italian and Yugoslavian national teams. He helped Yugoslavia to win the gold medal at EuroBasket 1981, and did the same with Italy at EuroBasket 1999. Tanjevic replaces Aydin Ors, who stepped down as head coach last week.
