Le Mans has improved its roster for the upcoming 2007-08 season by adding power forward Sam Clancy, who signed a one-year deal with the French powerhouse. Clancy (201, 27) arrives from ET Land Black Slamer in South Korea and had started the 2006-07 season with ViveMenorca in Spain, where he averaged 10.7 points and 6.3 rebounds in 18 Spanish League games before been released in February. Clancy has also played for Unics Kazan in Russia, Valladolid in Spain, the Idaho Stampede and the Yakima Sun Kings in the CBA, Cocodrilos de Caracas in Venezuela, as well as for the Fayetteville Patriots in NBDL. He also helped the University of Southern California to reach the NCAA Elite Eight in 2001, as well as becoming the CBA Player of the Year with Idaho in 2005. Clancy is now ready to make his Euroleague debut. He becomes his new team's second addition, since the club already announced that top prospect Antonie Diot signed a three-year deal with Le Mans.
