EA7 Emporio Armani adds point guard Ragland

Fresh off its Italian League title, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan has moved to reinforce its backcourt by signing point guard Joe Ragland to a two-year contract. Ragland (1.82 meters, 24 years old) was the top performer for Foxtown Cantu in his Eurocup debut last season. He averaged 14.7 points to rank 14th among all Eurocup players and 5.2 assists to rank seventh while playing 30 minutes per game. In the Italian League, Ragland put up similar numbers in helping Cantu reach the playoffs semifinalls with 16.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Ragland had come to Cantu in the middle of the previous season after having started it for Murcia of Spain in his debut as a professional. Previously, he played at North Platte Community College and Wichita State University.
