Efes tabs point guard Rashad Wright
Rashad Wright - new to Efes Pilsen Efes Pilsen Istanbul has signed point guard Rashad Wright for two seasons, the club announced Saturday. Wright (188, 25) has spent last season with Belgian League champion Oostende, averaging 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 10 ULEB Cup games. Previous to Oostende, Wright played for University of Georgia in the NCAA from 2000 to 2004 and then was selected 59th overall by Indiana in the 2004 NBA draft. He moved to Greece for the 2004-05 season, signed by Panionios, then spent the 2005-06 season in Serbia with KK Hemofarm Vrsac, for whom he averaged 12.4 points and 4.4 rebounds while helping the team reach the ULEB Cup semifinals.
