Olympiacos has reached an agreement with team captain Manolis Papamakarios while managing to bring back Giorgos Printezis after a season elsewhere. Papamakarios (190, 27) will enter his third season with Olympiacos. He averaged 3.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 18 Euroleague games, helping the Reds to make it to the Euroleague Quarterfinal Playoffs and the Greek League final for the second consecutive season. “There is no a player who doesn’t want to play for such a big club. I would like to stay and since coach Pini Gershon trusts me, everything was easy. We have to try our best to reach our big goals next season,” Papamakarios said. Meanwhile, Olympiacos brought back Printezis (205, 22) who spent last season with Olympia Larissa. Printezis, a versatile forward, was sent on loan to Olympia after four seasons with the Reds. Last season, Printezis averaged 11.5 points and 3.9 rebounds, being chosen as the best young player in the Greek League.
