Panathinaikos Athens announced the arrival of playmaker Lefteris Bochoridis, who inked a five-year deal with the Greek powerhouse on Tuesday. Bochoridis (1.93 meters, 20 years old) arrives from Aris Thessaloniki, his lifelong team until now. He averaged 7.1 points and 1.5 assists in 28 Greek League games with Aris last season. Bochoridis made his Aris debut in the 2011-12 season in both the Greek League and the Eurocup. He has been a member of the Greek U14, U16, U17, U18 and U20 national teams. Bochoridis shined the U20 European championships earlier this summer, averaging 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4 assists. "Being a Panathinaikos player is a great honor for me. It is a big step in my career and a challenge I want to take," Bochoridis said after the agreement. "I have said before that, to me, Dimitris Diamantidis is a model athlete. I am sure that I will learn a lot from him and improve."
