Turkish Airlines Euroleague newcomer Nizhny Novgorod reached a new agreement with playmaker Taylor Rochestie to keep working together next season, the club announced Wednesday. Rochestie (1.85 meters, 29 years old) arrives midway through last season and played a key rols to Nizhny Novgorod's success, averaging 14.3 points on 89.7% free throws and 4.8 assists in 12 Eurocup games. He led Nizhny Novgorod all the way to the Eurocup semifinals and the VTB finals, losing against Valencia Basket and CSKA Moscow, respectively. Rochestie started the 2013-14 season with Montepaschi Siena, averaging 6.5 points and 1.7 assists in 10 Euroleague games. Rochestie has also played for Angelico Biella in Italy, Caja Laboral Vitoria in Spain, Le Mans Sarthe Basket in France, Alba Berlin and MEG Goettingen in Germany and Galatasaray Istanbul in Turkey, as well as being a member of the Montenegrin national team. He helped Goettingen win the EuroChallenge in 2010, earning final four MVP honors. "Taylor has made a significant contribution and that helped us play in the Euroleague this season, so the desire to keep working together was mutual," general manager Sergey Panov said. "We hope that he has the opportunity to keep improving his performance and makes us a better team."
