Reigning Turkish Airlines Euroleague champion Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv continued building a new-look squad with the signing of small forward Nate Linhart to a three-year deal on Thursday. Linhart (2.01 meters, 27 years old) spent last season at Umana Venezia. He averaged 9.4 points on 40.8% three-point shooting and 5.2 rebounds in 30 Italian League games last season. Before that, Linhart had played two seasons for German side TBB Trier. Linhart played college basketball at the University of Akron and was the 2009 Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He has also played for Panthers Furstenfeld in Austria and Erie in the NBA D-League. Maccabi will be his first Euroleague side. Rinhart had signed with Artland Dragons Quakenbrueck a few days ago but reached an agreement with the German side to terminate his contract and join Maccabi.
