Le Mans lands Raviv Limonad
Raviv Limonad Le Mans Sarthe Basket keeps getting ready for the upcoming 2007-08 season by inking shooting guard Raviv Limonad to a two-year deal. Limonad (192, 23) arrives from Hapoel Ironi Nahariya, where he had a breakout season, becoming one of the most improved players in European basketball. He averaged 14.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5 assists in 26 Israeli League games, helping his team to make it finish fifth overall. Limonad started his career in Maccabi Natanya before moving to Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan in 2002. He joined Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem in January 2004 and helped the team to win the ULEB Cup title that very same season, averaging 5 points in 9 games. Limonad has also been a member of the Israeli under-18, under-20 and senior national team. It was not until he joined Nahariya last summer, however, that Limonad showed his potential, and now he is ready to make his Euroleague debut next season.
