FC Barcelona newcomer Markus Eriksson will be out indefinitely due to a severe knee injury, the club announced Monday. Eriksson, who was set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Barcelona this season, got injured in a Spanish League game against Laboral Kutxa Vitoria this weekend. Eriksson left the court on a stretcher and taken to a nearby hospital. Further research this weekend confirmed the bad news - Eriksson has torn his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and has a broken lateral meniscus in his left knee. Once he undergoes surgery, Barcelona will announce how much time is Eriksson expected to be sidelined.
