Laboral Kutxa Vitoria announced Tuesday that veteran shooting guard Sasha Vujacic has signed a deal with the club for the rest of the season, pending final medical tests. Vujacic (2.01 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Reyer Venezia Mestre of the Italian League, where he was averaging 11 points through five games this season. Vujacic played two seasons for Anadolu Efes Istanbul in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague from 2011 to 2013. He averaged 9.1 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist in 24 games in 2012-13 with Efes. Vujacic also has solid NBA experience as he played with the Los Angeles Lakers that won back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010. He also played with the New Jersey Nets. Vujacic started his career with Udine of Italy in 2001, and spent three seasons there. If he is registered in time, Vujacic could be eligible to play in the Euroleague against Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul on Friday in a regular season Group D game.
