One of the best power forwards in European basketball switched Euroleague teams on Friday, when Unicaja announced that Marcus Haislip inked a one-year contract, with a team option to extend until the end of the 2008-09 season. Haislip (207, 26) arrives from Efes Pilsen and led the Euroleague in blocks (1.8 bpg.) last season, also averaging 14.1 points on 37.6% three-pointers and 6.7 rebounds in 20 games. He helped Efes to win the Turkish Cup, as well as making it to the Euroleague Top 16 and the Turkish League final. Haislip has also played for Ulker in Turkey, as well as for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. He is taking now his athleticism, deep range and monster dunks to Malaga, Spain.
