Olympiacos inks Qyntel Woods for two years

Qyntel WoodsOlympiacos Piraeus remained the most active team so far this summer as coach Pini Gershon made forward Qyntel Woods his ninth new signing for the new season on Monday. Woods (203, 26) last played for the Bakersfield Jam in the NBDL last season. He has spent most of his professional career in the NBA, spending four seasons with four different teams, totaling 167 games. He averaged 6.7 points and 3.9 rebounds for the New York Knicks during the 2005-06 season, his last in the NBA. Woods inked a two-year deal with the Reds and essentially takes over the small forward role from Alex Acker, whose contract was not renewed. Due to restrictions on foreign players in the Greek League, Woods will initially be used in Euroleague games only.
