Lottomatica Roma announced Thursday that head coach Jasmin Repesa has signed an extension that will see him at the helm of the club through 2010. Repesa had one year remaining on his current deal, but was given some extra job security with the two-season extension. Last season was Repesa’s first in Rome and he helped lead the team to the Top 16 in the Euroleague, while in Italy the club finished in fourth place in the regular season and reached the semifinals in the playoffs. Roma is Repesa’s fourth Euroleage club after previous stints at Slask Wroclaw, Cibona and Fortitudo Bologna. He has also been on the sidelines at Dona Zagreb and KK Split in his native Croatia and Tofas Bursa in Turkey. Among his career highlights include with three Croatian championships and two Croatian Cups with Cibona, two Turkish championships and Turkish Cups with Tofas Bursa an Italian championship and an appearance in the 2004 Euroleague title game with Fortitudo.
