Tau locks up center Barac for 5 years

Tau Ceramica locked up promising center Stanko Barac for five seasons, the club announced Monday. Barac (217, 21) arrives from Siroki Prima pivo in his native Bosnia, where he posted 13 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game in 26 Adriatic League appearances last season. His rebounding totals were second most in the competition. Among the highlights in his young career are winning the 2006 Bosnian Cup and 2007 Bosnian championship. Barac has also been a member of the Croatian national junior teams and averaged 11.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in helpin ghis side finish fifth at the 2006 Under-20 European Championships in Turkey.
