VidiVici lands Will Conroy at point
Virtus Bologna finally found its starting point guard. The famed Euroleague returnees will put the ball in the hands of Will Conroy, who will be playing overseas for the first time. Conroy (187, 24) finished last campaign playing for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. Earlier in the season, he led the NBDL in assists with 10.6 per game playing for the Tulsa 66ers. He added 15.1 points per game on 34% three-point shooting. Conroy also suited up for Tulsa during the 2005-06 season, averaging 12.8 points and 6.7 assists. Conroy had a standout college basketball career with the University of Washington from 2001 to 2005, reaching the NCAA Sweet 16 in his senior year. He left the Huskies as the school's alltime career leader in assists with 515. He also set the single-season mark with 219 in 2005.
