Union Olimpija Ljubljana continues its preparations for the coming season with the signing of veteran shooter Sasa Doncic, who joins former coach Memi Becirovic in arriving from Helios Domzale. The two helped Helios stun Olimpija last season by winning the Slovenian championship and Cup. Doncic (201, 33) can play either wing position and will bring some much-needed experience to what is shaping up as a very young team. Though this will be Doncic's first season in the Euroleague, he has played at high levels before, including representing the Slovenian national team. Last year he averaged 10.9 points and 5.3 rebounds in 26 Adriatic-League appearances for Domzale. He's previously suited up for Pivovarna Lasko, Krka Nove Mesto and Geoplin Slovan in Slovenia, Sloga Kraljevo in Serbia and ALM Evreux in France.
