A former Euroleague champion is returning to the competition, with Cibona Zagreb announcing on Monday that Damir Mulaomerovic has joined the club. Mulaomerovic (195, 33), a Euroleague champ with Panathinaikos in 2002, returns to the club where he first made a name for himself over a decade ago. “Mula” spent four seasons with Cibona in the 1990s, winning four Croatian crowns and two Croatian Cups. He started his career with Sloboda Tuzla in Croatia and later played for Fortitudo Bologna and Udine in Italy, Real Madrid and Bruesa in Spain, Efes Pilsen in Turkey and Panathinaikos, PAOK, Panellinios and Olympiacos in Greece. He started last season with the Reds, playing in six Euroleague games, during which he averaged 2.5 points in a limited role. Mulaomerovic signed a one-year contract with the club.
