VidiVici locks up Blizzard for 2 years more

Brett Blizzard - Virtus Bologna Virtus VidiVici Bologna announced the renewal of combo-guard Brett Blizzard's contract until the end of 2009-10 season. Blizzard (190, 27) is currently recovering from an ankle injury that has sidelined him since the closing minutes of last season's Italian League final against Montepaschi Siena. Last season, he contributed to Virtus Bologna’s remarkable domestic run to the finals and qualification for the Euroleague by averaging 10.7 points on 46% three-point shooting and 2.3 assists in 46 games in Italy. Blizzard has previously played for Vertical Vision Cantu and Landi Renzo Reggio Emilia, where he averaged 13.8 points on 44% three-point shooting in the 2005-06 season. A college basketball player for North Carolina Wilmington from 1999 to 2003, he originally signed a four-year contract with Montepaschi Siena, but played on loan for Sicc BPA Jesi of the Italian second division, Cantu and Reggio Emilia before splitting with the current Italian champions and joining the "Black V."
