Zalgiris inks Bradley, promotes Janavicius
Michael Bradley Zalgiris Kaunas has added size in the paint by signing center Michael Bradley for the remainder of the season. Bradley (208, 28) arrives from Alba Berlin, the team where he started the 2007-08 season. He had played for Bruesa last season, averaging 13.1 points and 8.4 rebounds in 32 Spanish League games. Bradley had also played for the Philadelphia 76ers, the Orlando Magic and the Toronto Raptors in the NBA. He replaces Tanoka Beard, who reached an agreement to terminate his contract last week. Zalgiris has also promoted playmaker Zygimantas Janavicius to its first roster and inscribed him to play in the 2007-08 Euroleague season. Janavicius is a left-handed point guard who shined in each of the last two editions of the Euroleague Basketball International Junior Tournament held at the 2006 and 2007 Final Fours.
