The Ciutat De L'Hospitalet Junior Tournament has reached its 29th edition and comes with a new, exciting feature due to an agreement with Euroleague Basketball. This season's L'Hospitalet Junior Tournament is being held from January 3 to 5, 2008. The winner and runner-up teams will receive invitations to the Nike International Junior Tournament at next spring's 2008 Final Four in Madrid. Defending champion FMP overwhelmed CB L'Hospitalet 102-59 in Group A behind 26 points from Andrija Milutinovic. In Group B, AXA FC Barcelona thrashed MMT Estudiantes 72-90 to get closer to the semifinals. Nihad Djedovic shined with 25 points and confirmed his status as a top prospect in European basketball. Earlier today, MMT Estudiantes topped Elan Bearnais Pau-Orthez 75-72 with 21 points and 7 assists from Sergio Llorente. In Group C, Cibona edged DKV Joventut 86-83 on a late basket off a midcourt steal by Marko Petrovic. Sven Smalgajic paced the winners with 20 points. Meanwhile, Real Madrid leads Group C by downing Pamesa Valencia behind 23 points on 10-for-17 shooting and 13 rebounds from Nikola Mirotic.
