The Ciutat De L'Hospitalet Junior Tournament has reached its 29th edition and comes with a new, exciting feature due to an agreement with Euroleague Basketball. This season's Euroleague Basketball Nike International Junior Classification Tournament L’Hospitalet is being held from January 3 to 5, 2008. The winner and runner-up teams will receive invitations to the Nike International Junior Tournament at next spring's 2008 Final Four in Madrid. Day 2 is already in the books and action will resume tomorrow with the semifinals, as Real Madrid will face FMP at 10:00 CET while AXA FC Barcelona will go against Cibona at 12:00 CET. Earlier today, Cibona beat Unicaja 69-81 behind 28 points from Dino Hozdic to become the Group C champion. Later on, Barcelona thrashed Pau-Orthez 93-68 with 29 points from Nihad Djedovic to win Group B. Meanwhile, Nikola Mirotic had 27 points to make Real Madrid down CSKA Moscow 97-68 and finish first in Group D. Svetozar Stamenkovic led the winners with 17 points. Defending champion FMP simply overwhelmed Cajasol 94-56 to enter the semifinals as the Group A champion. In other games today, Cajasol thrashed CB L'Hospitalet 97-75 in Group A behind 29 points and 14 rebounds from Jordan Burger while DKV Joventut edged Unicaja 76-78 in Group C, in the last game today.
