Week 11 MVP: Loren Woods, Efes Pilsen
A rare double-double with more rebounds than points led to the top individual performance in Euroleague Basketball this week as Loren Woods of Efes Pilsen became the Week 11 MVP in his team's 84-91 overtime road win against Le Mans. Woods paced Efes to victory with 16 points by making 4 of 6 two-point shots and 8 of 10 free throws, but it was his 18 rebounds that stood out, including 10 on offense, the second-highest total in Euroleague history. Woods added 2 assists, a steal, a block and 7 fouls drawn for a performance index rating of 35, more than any other player this week. Chris Warren of Cibona followed with an index of 30 as he carried his team to a major road win against Armani Jeans Milano. Warren had 27 points on 5-for-8 three-point and 4-for-4 free-throw shooting plus 10 rebounds. Igor Rakocevic of Tau Ceramica had a 28 index in his team's road loss against Montepaschi Siena. Marcus Brown of Zalgiris Kaunas, Filip Dylewicz of Prokom Trefl Sopot and Terrell McIntyre of Montepaschi, each with a 27 index, completed the top individual performances this week.
Individual highs: Yannick Bokolo of Le Mans, 11 assists
Warren was this week's top scorer with 27 points in his team's road win against AJ Milano. Marc Salyers of Chorale Roanne remains the Euroleague's top scorer at 22.4 points per game. Woods led all rebounders by pulling down 18 in his team's overtime road win against Le Mans. Mirsad Turkcan of Fenerbahce Ulker stays atop the rebounders table at 9.7 per game. Yannick Bokolo of Le Mans dished as many as 11 assists in his team's overtime loss against Efes Pilsen and was the only player to register double digits in assists this week. DeJuan Collins of Zalgiris and Marc-Antoine Pellin of Roanne tie atop the assists table at 5.1 per night. McIntyre collected 7 steals, more than anyone this week. He also leads the overall standings at 2.64 per game. Ansu Sesay of AJ Milano and Giannis Bouroussis of Olympiacos each had 4 blocks this week. Andrea Crosariol leads the overall standings at 1.7 per night. Five players - Bokolo, Woods, Warren, Goran Jurak of Zalgiris and David Andersen of CSKA Moscow - registered respective double-doubles in this round.
